Significant Controllers Register

All companies incorporated in Hong Kong are required to:

  • identify any person(s) or corporate body(ies) who have significant control over the company;
  • maintain a register of said significant controllers (a.k.a. the Significant Controller’s Register (SCR)); and
  • appoint a Designated Representative (DR) whose details must also be listed on the SCR, who will act as a point of contact to make the SCR available to law enforcement officers, if needed
