What are the requirements for appointing directors and shareholders in Hong Kong?
There is a minimum of 1 shareholder (corporate or individual; HK Resident or Non-HK Resident) and 1 individual director (HK Resident or Non-HK Resident) in your company. The shareholder and director can be the same person, but, at least, one director (if only one or if several) must be an individual/natural person.
Usually Directors are named by Shareholders to represent their interests with the Board of Directors of the company.
There is no maximum number of directors, but the maximum amount of shareholders allowed is 50 -.
